The end of 2022 is quickly approaching, and you know what that means right? New year, new you? It is that time of year again where we set ourselves new year’s resolutions but why wait till the end of the year to set goals for yourself?
When it comes to New year’s resolutions, we all have our own definition of what they are. Some people want to lose weight, others want to quit smoking. Still others want to stop procrastinating and start thinking about their future.
But the one thing that all New year’s resolutions have in common is that they're all about making changes for yourself. Whether you want to get healthier or work on improving your relationship with a spouse or child, this is the time of year when we make the decision to do something different for ourselves—and then follow through on those decisions. This can be difficult because sometimes our habits are so ingrained that they feel like second nature and are hard to break free from.
Ideas?
Here in Amefia most of us have a strong work ethic. We are devoted to our jobs and combine it with caring for our families resulting is a very busy lifestyle. The question is: what about our work-life balance? Maybe that is the first New year’s resolution for 2023. Try and find the ultimate balance between family and work and even have some free time to spend doing whatever you want! This way you can maybe accomplish another resolution for example: be more active and go rock climbing in your free time.
Good or Bad?
New Year's Resolutions are supposed to be a good thing. They're supposed to help us make the best choices for our health and happiness in the coming year. But sometimes, it can feel like the whole world has turned against us. All your resolution suddenly seems unrealistic, or you simply become overwhelmed. However, the solution is simple: set yourself goals throughout the year and change them if you need to. Keep them as realistic as possible and you will get the satisfaction you need when reaching them.
So, are New year resolutions a good or bad thing? It mostly depends on your personality.
