The year is almost over so it’s time to look back at what happened over the course of the year. Every year we summarize the most popular baby names and this year is no different. Gather around y’all, Amefia just announced their list of the most popular baby names of 2022.

When looking at the ranking, we noticed something. Grace and Mason are still ranked number 1 for the second year in a row. They kept their spot in the ranking whereas other names changed their position. And the top five girl names apparently all end with the letter “e”. Coincidence? We don’t think so. Ever since King George died, Amefians looked for ways to honor their beloved King. So ending your baby’s name with the same letter as your beloved King is very creative if you ask us.

And to keep up with that theme, the name “George” shifted from the second place to the third place in the ranking for the boys. Which means we got a new second place. And surprisingly, this name wasn’t even on the list last year. But apparently a lot for Amefians have the same idea. In second place we now have “Oliver”. As for the girls, Mackenzie moved up two places. As of 2022 she is the second most popular girl name in Amefia.

But what about the other names? Well for the girls we now have “Hope” in third place, followed by “Sage” and “Alice” in fourth and fifth place. As for the boys we have “Skye” and “Parker” in fourth and fifth place.

Goodluck to all the parents! We’re already looking forward to all the babies that are coming next year!
