CRIME
Last week Amefia agreed to clean the border with Zazu. While cleaning, a sad discovery was made. On Saturday, Southern police received the report of a deceased, unidentified man located within the rural area. Just about 5 km away from the border.
The circumstances are very mysterious. But we do know that the body was found near a popular route used for illegal drug trafficking. Chances are high, drugs have something to do with the crime. There might have been an issue involving two drug cartels. However, homicide has not been ruled out yet.
An autopsy was scheduled for Monday. Investigators found the male had used a very dangerous drug, used in the 70s by farmers in the opium fields to kill weeds. At that time, it was legal for farmers to use it in the fields. In 1988, the Amefian government decided to make it illegal because it turned out to be very dangerous for people and animals. As of today, this type of drug is not accessible to lots of people, which makes people believe it has been sold to the victim on purpose.
Police found out the victim must’ve been in his late twenties. However, it is still unclear who the male is. He is believed to be a citizen of Amefia, because he has a tattoo of our national symbol: the opium flower.
We have tried to contact the police, but they answered the investigation is ongoing. Therefore they can not give out more information.
No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified. If you have more information about who the victim could be, please get in touch with the police on the number: 05 78 87 87 87. Police are also asking anyone with information about the crime to come forward.
